What is Our Most Self-Destructive Habit?

For the last few months I’ve been working on filming an online meditation course.

I knew it was going to be a big project, but honestly I did not think that four months after we began filming I would still be working on it!

The filming was tough – talking to a camera is not as easy as it looks.

But the hardest part was having to watch myself for hours on end, as I slowly edited down the content.

Are You Up For The Whole 30 Challenge?

It’s Day 3 of the Whole 30 Challenge/Detox/Torture Program.  Holy cow, I imagine I feel as bad as someone giving up crack.

The headache started last night, the stomach cramps at 2am and by 9am I’m feeling lightheaded, lethargic and hungover.  All I’m able to do is lie around and ponder why am I putting myself through this hell?

And why on earth do I feel so bad?

Why Laughter is the Best Teacher

My favorite teachers all have one thing in common – they make me laugh.  It’s not just that they are funny but that they are enjoying themselves as much as their audience.  It’s infectious.

Whenever I’m listening to teachers who are taking themselves too seriously or not able to find the humor in life, I tune out immediately.  I just can’t relate to it.

So when I teach, I try to bring in funny stories to get my point across.  Not just because it’s fun (although that is a good reason!), but because I think it’s the most effective way to learn.
